Lazio launches seasonal influenza vaccination campaign

The Lazio region has officially launched its seasonal influenza vaccination campaign to protect elderly citizens and vulnerable populations. The initiative aims to mitigate the impact of the virus and reduce pressure on emergency rooms across the five provinces of the region.

Priority for the first phase of vaccinations is given to individuals over 60, healthcare workers, pregnant women, and those with chronic pathologies. To ensure widespread access, vaccinations will be administered by family doctors, pediatricians, and participating local pharmacies via appointment.

Additionally, provincial health authorities (Asl) have scheduled extraordinary ‘Open Days’ during weekends in October, allowing direct access to vaccination centers without the need for prior appointments.
