Lazio Region agrees to valorize former Pio Istituto lands
The Lazio Region has approved an agreement with the municipalities of Tivoli and Guidonia Montecelio to valorize land formerly owned by the Pio Istituto Santo Spirito. These lands, currently managed by Asl Roma 5, will be transferred to the local authorities.
To initiate the necessary technical and administrative activities, the regional government has allocated 200,000 euros. The initiative aims to rationalize, valorize, and potentially divest urban and agricultural plots that are not currently used for healthcare purposes. The goal is to improve local quality of life, social cohesion, and public safety by implementing new services and infrastructure.
The former Pio Istituto Santo Spirito was a major healthcare entity that was dissolved in 1976, with its vast property holdings transferred to the Municipality, the Lazio Region, and local health authorities (Asl).
