Lazio Region local service and land management initiatives
Overview
The Lazio Region has initiated several administrative and financial measures to support local infrastructure and community services.
Initially, the regional government approved an agreement with the municipalities of Tivoli and Guidonia Montecelio to valorize land formerly owned by the Pio Istituto Santo Spirito. Managed currently by Asl Roma 5, these urban and agricultural plots will be transferred to local authorities to improve public safety and social cohesion. The region has allocated 200,000 euros to begin the technical and administrative processes for this redevelopment.
Subsequently, the region expanded its funding efforts, allocating approximately 3 million euros for the 2026-2027 biennium to support oratories, parishes, and dioceses. This funding aims to foster social integration and support vulnerable populations through individual project contributions. Furthermore, 1.73 million euros has been designated for 2026 to assist municipalities and mountain communities in the shared management of services, intended to reduce bureaucratic challenges through increased collaboration.
