Lazio Region approves funding for oratories and local services

The Lazio Region has approved new funding measures to support local community services and administrative efficiency.

A total of approximately 3 million euros has been allocated for the 2026-2027 biennium to support oratories, parishes, and dioceses. The funding, proposed by President Francesco Rocca, aims to ensure the continued operation of oratory activities, foster social integration, and support vulnerable individuals. Individual project contributions will range from a minimum of 10,000 euros to a maximum of 50,000 euros, covering up to 100% of eligible investments.

Additionally, the region is allocating 1.73 million euros for 2026 to support the shared management of services by municipalities and mountain communities. According to regional councilor Marika Rotondi, 90% of these funds will go to Unions of Municipalities, while 10% will be directed to Mountain Communities. The initiative is designed to help smaller local authorities overcome bureaucratic and organizational challenges by encouraging collaboration and improving service efficiency.
