Lazio reports historic low in season ticket sales

Lazio has reported a historic low in season ticket sales for the 2026/27 season, with approximately 4,000 subscriptions sold. This figure represents the worst performance during Claudio Lotito’s presidency, significantly lower than the nearly 30,000 tickets sold in previous seasons.

The decline is attributed to an ongoing boycott by organized supporter groups, specifically the Curva Nord, who began protesting against Lotito in early 2026. Fans have cited long-term mismanagement, unfulfilled promises, insufficient investment in the squad and youth academy, and a deteriorating relationship between the club and its supporters.

Sporting performance has also contributed to the unrest, as the club will miss European competitions for the second consecutive season. Supporters have announced they will only attend home matches for the city derby against Roma, opting to follow the team during away games instead. The impact of the boycott was recently observed during a Coppa Italia match, where sections of the Stadio Olimpico remained closed and the stadium was largely empty.
