Le Thi Rieng Park: 564 sets of martyr remains recovered

Forces from the Ho Chi Minh City Command are continuing the search and repatriation of martyr remains at Le Thi Rieng Park. As of September 3, the total number of recovered remains has reached 564, including 263 sets accompanied by artifacts.

The recovery efforts, which began on June 23, have identified 531 individual remains and 33 sets found across eight mass grave locations. These locations are divided between Area A (two sites) and Area B (six sites) within the park.

To maintain progress, the command has deployed heavy machinery, including excavators and various transport trucks, to handle large volumes of soil. Operations have continued through the National Day holiday period to ensure the timely return of remains to their families and hometowns.
