Le Thi Rieng Park: 616 sets of martyr remains recovered

Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have recovered 616 sets of martyr remains at Le Thi Rieng Park. Since the operation began on June 23, search teams have identified 583 individual remains and 33 remains located across eight mass grave sites, including two in Area A and six in Area B.

On September 12, workers processed over 300 cubic meters of soil to expand the search in Area A, discovering 11 additional sets of remains, eight of which included personal belongings. Of the total 616 sets recovered so far, 287 include associated artifacts.

The Ho Chi Minh City Command is utilizing heavy machinery for excavation but switches to manual methods once remains are detected to ensure the remains are handled with care. Officials stated that the search will continue throughout the park as long as traces of remains are identified, despite challenges posed by unpredictable weather conditions.
