League of Legends classic mode launches; MapleStory nostalgic server opens for pre‑download

Riot Games released a new classic mode for League of Legends on July 30, adding a separate nostalgic gameplay environment with original 2012‑2013 champions such as AP Sword Master, old‑version Fiora, Akali and Sion, as well as a full recreation of the Season 3 item set. The mode runs alongside the live game but uses isolated data, and a “Parliament” system lets players vote on future changes.

Nexon and its Chinese partner Shengqu Games announced that the pre‑download and character‑creation portal for the MapleStory nostalgic server went live on July 31, with the full server scheduled to open on August 3. The server will restore classic maps, the five original adventurer classes and level‑100 cap, and includes early‑day quests such as “Moon‑shaped Rice Cake” and “First Journey.”
