Leandro Trossard joins Beşiktaş from Arsenal

Belgian winger Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent transfer from Premier League club Arsenal to Turkish Süper Lig side Beşiktaş. The deal, reported at €17‑20 million, includes a three‑year contract with an optional fourth year and a guaranteed salary of €6.5 million per season. Trossard arrived in Istanbul for a medical examination, greeted approximately 2,000 supporters at Atatürk Airport and is set to sign the official paperwork.

Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı announced the signing, noting that Trossard becomes the club's 203rd foreign player and will wear the number 19 shirt. The club highlighted Trossard’s experience, including a Premier League title and a Champions League final appearance with Arsenal, as well as 31 league matches, six goals and six assists in his last season.

Arsenal confirmed the transfer and indicated that the departure will accelerate their pursuit of Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, who has attracted interest as a potential replacement. Reports suggest Arsenal may offer up to £34‑35 million for Tzolis.

The move marks a significant addition for Beşiktaş ahead of the new season, aiming to strengthen their attacking options with a player who has proven his quality in England’s top flight and on the international stage with Belgium.
