Arsenal completes €20 million sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Turkish side Besiktas for the transfer of Belgian winger Leandro Trossard. The deal is reported to be worth €20 million – €18 million upfront with €2 million in performance‑related add‑ons – and a €9 million annual salary has been floated for the player. Personal terms are still being finalised and the move will only be completed after Trossard finishes the World Cup with Belgium.

The sale frees up a sizeable wage bill and provides funds for Arsenal’s summer rebuild. The club have identified potential replacements on the left flank, with Premier League prospects Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola frequently linked to the Emirates Stadium. Reports also mention interest in other attackers such as Christos Tzolis and Tomas Aranda. In parallel, Arsenal have confirmed the departure of midfielder Martin Ødegaard to Galatasaray, further reshaping the squad ahead of the new season.

Overall, the transfer marks a key step in Arsenal’s strategy to refresh its attacking options while maintaining financial flexibility.
