Lebanese Health Ministry denounces Israeli claims on Tebnin Hospital

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health warned that recent statements by the Israeli army alleging that Hezbollah used the government‑run Tebnin Hospital in the Bint Jbeil district are false and constitute a serious threat to a vital civilian health facility. The ministry said the hospital is the sole government medical centre serving the district’s population, which endures continuous Israeli raids. It highlighted that the facility houses a International Committee of the Red Cross unit and a Lebanese Red Cross centre, and that the Lebanese army maintains a permanent checkpoint at the entrance.

Hezbollah also rejected the Israeli accusations, calling them a "public lie" intended to justify further attacks on hospitals and medical staff, which it described as war crimes. The group urged the United Nations and international humanitarian organisations to act promptly to prevent additional violations of international law against Lebanese health infrastructure.
