Lebanese Parties Reject Proposed Framework Agreement with Israel

The joint leadership of Lebanon's Popular Democratic Party and the Arab Socialist Work announced that they reject and denounce the signing of the proposed framework agreement with Israel, calling it a surrender that grants the enemy the right to continue killing and occupying Southern villages.

Hezbollah political council deputy Mahmoud Qamati also rejected the agreement, describing it as an "unacceptable, surrendering and dead pact" and pledging to "politically and practically" overturn it. He stressed that Lebanon must not be forced to trade its weapons for its land, and demanded an unconditional Israeli withdrawal without linking it to any internal Lebanese political arrangements.

Both statements call for a broad national front to oppose the agreement, reject any negotiations with Israel, and restore full national rights, including sovereignty over territory, oil resources and maritime borders.
