Lebanese security forces arrest suspects in multi-region theft ring

The Lebanese Internal Security Forces have arrested two individuals following a series of thefts targeting construction sites and businesses. The suspects, identified as two Syrian nationals born in 2003 and 2005, were apprehended in Mansourieh during a coordinated operation after being monitored by the Information Branch.

The investigation began after a theft in Ain Saadeh on June 21, 2026, where unidentified individuals climbed into a factory to steal aluminum, doors, and car parts. Upon their arrest, the suspects confessed to participating in dozens of similar burglaries across several areas, including Mkalles, Dekwaneh, Ain Saadeh, Jdeideh, Dora, and Baablamieh.

The group reportedly stole metals, wood, plastic, and automotive components, transporting them in a white Hyundai pickup truck to be sold at a scrap yard in Bar Elias. The suspects have been handed over to the relevant judicial authorities, and efforts continue to apprehend other accomplices.
