Lebanese security operations against crime

Overview

Lebanese security forces have conducted separate operations targeting different criminal activities across the country.

In one operation, the Internal Security Forces arrested two Syrian nationals in Mansourieh for their involvement in a multi-region theft ring. The suspects confessed to dozens of burglaries targeting construction sites and businesses in areas including Ain Saadeh, Mkalles, and Dekwaneh, where they stole metals, wood, and automotive components to sell at a scrap yard.

In a separate incident in the Safra region, authorities arrested a Lebanese national suspected of drug trafficking. The suspect allegedly used an abandoned carpet factory as a base, employing a method of distributing drugs via a basket from above to evade detection.
