Lebanon showcases 40 food brands at SIAL Paris

Approximately 40 Lebanese food industry brands have officially opened a dedicated pavilion at the SIAL Paris international food innovation exhibition. The 272-square-meter pavilion, located at Paris Nord Villepinte, operates under the theme ‘Taste the Stories of Our Land’ to highlight Lebanese culinary heritage and craftsmanship.

The pavilion was inaugurated by Lebanon’s Minister of Industry, Djo Issa El Khoury, alongside officials from the Ministries of Agriculture, Economy and Trade, and the Ministry of Industry. Minister El Khoury emphasized that while Lebanon may not compete with major nations in production volume, it remains highly competitive in terms of quality and excellence despite regional crises and rising production costs.

Organized by the Lebanese Food Industries Syndicate in cooperation with Hospitality Services, the pavilion features prominent brands such as Kourtas, Hallab 1881, Castania, Al Rabie, Adonis, and Olivano. The initiative aims to open international market doors for Lebanese producers of items including thyme, olive oil, and sumac.
