LEDVANCE and Lumitec announce new lighting technology developments

LEDVANCE has introduced the XtremeZone Panel Hazardous Location luminaire, designed for industrial environments requiring high reliability. The LED unit is UL844 and CSA 22.2 No. 137 certified for hazardous locations, featuring IP66 and IK10 ratings. It is also NSF ANSI 2 rated for food equipment and offers a 100,000-hour rated life.

In the maritime sector, Lumitec has announced an enhancement to its Poco Digital Lighting Control system through a new Channel Expander Feature. This update allows Poco modules to communicate over a NMEA 2000-based network, enabling users to expand channel capacity and current output beyond the standard 40-amp per-module limit. The system supports a centralized command structure where one module acts as the primary controller for multiple expansion units, facilitating complex lighting configurations for larger vessels.
