Lee Sung-hoon appointed LH head to accelerate public housing supply
Lee Sung‑hoon was sworn in as the seventh president of Korea Land & Housing Corp (LH) on 6 July 2026. In his inaugural address he pledged to concentrate all resources on speeding up the delivery of homes, stressing that housing should be a public good, affordable and not a speculative asset.
He outlined five priority tasks: increasing the speed of housing supply, innovating the location and quality of public housing, supporting balanced regional growth, advancing AI and ESG‑based management, and prioritising safety. Lee also announced organisational reforms, transparent staffing, rapid development of the Sejong administrative capital zone and active support for the second‑phase relocation of public agencies. The new president previously served as a senior official in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and as head of the Gyeonggi‑province construction bureau.
