Lefkada Indoor Hall upgraded for Stoiximan GBL requirements

The Municipality of Lefkada has completed upgrades to the Lefkada DAK Indoor Hall to meet the requirements of the Stoiximan GBL, following the promotion of the Doxa Lefkada basketball team to Greece's top professional league.

Key improvements include the installation of new spectator seating, increasing the venue's capacity to 1,614 people, and the addition of accessible restrooms for persons with disabilities. The facility also received a new security room equipped with internal and external camera monitoring. Other renovations involved replacing basketball hoops and scoreboards, a complete refurbishment of the parquet floor, and upgrades to the locker rooms and referee areas. Additionally, Doxa Lefkada has undertaken the reorganization of the municipal parking area behind the hall.

Lefkada Mayor Dr. Xenophon Verginis stated that the upgrades were necessary to meet the demands of the top division. The renovated hall is scheduled to host its first match on Saturday, October 17, featuring Doxa Lefkada against Promitheas Patras.
