Doxa Lefkada basketball league promotion and facility status

Following the promotion of the Doxa Lefkada basketball team to Greece’s top professional league, the Stoiximan GBL, the Municipality of Lefkada completed significant upgrades to the Lefkada DAK Indoor Hall. These renovations included increasing spectator capacity to 1,614, installing accessible restrooms, adding a security monitoring room, and refurbishing the parquet floor, locker rooms, and scoreboards.

As the team prepared for its home opener against Promitheas Patras, head coach Thodoris Terzis noted that the squad was improving through training despite a difficult start to the season.

In their highly competitive matchup on October 15, Doxa Lefkada suffered a narrow 80-79 defeat to Promitheas Patras. Despite holding a lead of as many as 10 points during the fourth quarter, Doxa Lefkada was unable to hold the advantage. Arnoldas Kulbokas secured the win for the visitors with a crucial basket-and-foul play with 11.1 seconds remaining. While Robinson and Sarma each contributed 14 points for the home side, a late three-pointer by Harmon was not enough to overcome the deficit. The loss leaves Doxa Lefkada with a 0-3 record for the season.
