Legal developments in Sarajevo and Belgrade regarding corruption and election complaints

In Sarajevo Canton, the Office for the Fight Against Corruption and Quality Management has fined Dijana Kozadra, a councilwoman for the Naša Stranka party, 2,000 KM for a conflict of interest. The investigation found that her son, Benjamin Kozadra, acting as a representative for the company HVAClab d.o.o., entered into several contracts with public institutions while she held office. These contracts included agreements with the Municipality of Travnik, the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska, and Sarajevo International Airport for maintenance services.

In Belgrade, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office has rejected criminal complaints against Foreign Minister Marko Đurić, acting General Secretary Dušan Kozarev, and ten ambassadors. The complaints alleged violations of voting rights and equality regarding the determination of polling stations abroad. The prosecution ruled that the actions did not meet the legal criteria for criminal offenses, noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs only proposes polling locations, while the final determination rests with the Republic Electoral Commission.
