Polish towns launch numerous infrastructure upgrades, from roads and bike paths to a new municipal nursery

Local authorities across Poland are carrying out a wave of infrastructure projects. In Łowicz a modern municipal nursery with 100 places is near completion; construction is funded by the national "Active Child" programme (5.3 million zł) and the municipality’s own budget. Road works have started on Asnyka and Broniewskiego streets in Przasnysz, a 2 million zł reconstruction financed partly by the State Road Development Fund. The Bobrowice‑Dychów bike route, 3.9 km long, will be built with European Regional Development Fund support. Krasiczyn gmina published a tender to rebuild five local roads in four villages. Skórcz gmina will thermomodernise its town hall, receiving 622 675 zł (85 % EU co‑funding). Pogorzela will open a free‑cost nursery in September 2026. A new Kaszubia Velo segment will link Wdzydze and Karsin, improving safe tourism routes. In Chorowice new drainage and in Konary upgraded signage and road surfaces have been completed. The Mazowsze pomaga programme allocated over 15.8 million zł for roads and schools in the Ostrołęka region, while Ciechanów secured nearly 15 million zł to expand its cycling network. Together these initiatives aim to improve transport safety, promote active mobility and modernise public facilities.
