Legnago students begin shadowing local police through youth project

Students in Legnago have begun participating in the ‘Ragazzi On the Road’ project, an initiative designed to introduce young people to the daily operations of law enforcement. The program allows participants to shadow local police officers during their service shifts, including tasks such as monitoring pedestrian crossings to ensure student safety at school entrances.

The project aims to foster closer ties between youth and local institutions by providing direct experience with road safety management and the responsibilities of police officers. The initiative is part of the ‘Prendo Spazio’ 2024-2026 regional youth policy program, to which the Municipality of Legnago has adhered. The activities are carried out in collaboration with the association Ragazzi On the Road APS and are scheduled to continue through November.
