Legnano city market redevelopment works resume
Redevelopment works at the Legnano city market have resumed following the mid-August break. The project focuses on sanitary and hygienic upgrades, specifically within the fish stall area, including the installation of water collection grids and waste collection areas near the restrooms.
Additional improvements include the installation of a ramp along the path connecting to the Monumental Cemetery. Following these stages, work will proceed to the central boulevard and the construction of a kiosk for the Local Police, scheduled to begin in September. The total project cost is 300,000 euros, with completion expected by the end of the year.
To support the market's revitalization, the Local Police began issuing 201 parking concessions to street vendors in late July. This measure aims to stabilize commercial operators, encourage investment, and reverse a trend of declining vendor participation and product quality.
