LEGO and Nintendo unveil playable Donkey Kong arcade set

LEGO and Nintendo have announced a new set that recreates the original 1981 Donkey Kong arcade cabinet in a fully playable, mechanical form. The set consists of roughly 1,367‑1,371 LEGO pieces, a functional joystick, buttons and a lever that launches barrels one by one, letting users control Jumpman (later known as Mario) as in the classic game.

The product is priced at €169.99 in Europe, $200 in the United States and other markets, and is slated for worldwide shipping starting 1 August 2026. It targets adult collectors and retro‑gaming enthusiasts, offering a tangible, interactive homage rather than a decorative replica.

Pre‑orders are now open, with the set positioned as a premium collectible that blends nostalgia with LEGO’s build‑and‑play experience.
