LEGO Group announces first live-action ‘LEGO Friends’ musical

The LEGO Group has announced the premiere of ‘LEGO Friends: Heartlake The Musical’, the franchise’s first live-action adaptation. The 50-minute musical special is scheduled to debut globally on October 16, 2026, via the official LEGO YouTube channel. Following its digital premiere, the special will be distributed through various streaming and broadcast partners, including Netflix, Peacock, Tubi, RTL, and AMC Networks in selected markets.

Produced by executive producer Kenny Ortega, known for ‘High School Musical’, the production features director and choreographer Paul Becker. The story follows Daisy, a creative teenager played by Jada Langley, as she navigates a move to a new town and discovers the vibrant world of Heartlake City. The musical includes four original songs and dynamic choreography.

To complement the release, an immersive pop-up experience based on the LEGO Friends Unicorn Café set will be held in London from October 29 to 31, offering fans hands-on building activities and screenings of the musical.
