LEGO Group unveils largest building set featuring Sagrada Família
The LEGO Group has introduced its largest building set to date, a detailed model of the Sagrada Família basilica in Barcelona. Designed by Rok Žgalin Kobe for adult fans, the set (number 21065) consists of more than 12,000 pieces and stands 62 centimeters tall.
The model depicts the planned final form of the iconic Catalan landmark, honoring the legacy of architect Antoni Gaudí ahead of the 100th anniversary of his death. The construction process of the set follows the historical stages of the actual basilica, beginning with the crypt and apse, moving through the Nativity and Passion facades, and concluding with the six iconic towers and the Glory facade.
This release surpasses the previous record holder, the LEGO World Map, which contained 11,695 elements. The set aims to capture the intricate architectural elements of the basilica, including its characteristic forms and stained-glass window details.
