LEGO Group unveils SMART Play Gateway at San Diego Comic-Con 2026

The LEGO Group introduced the LEGO SMART Play Gateway at San Diego Comic‑Con 2026 (booth #2829, July 23‑26). The booth uses LEGO SMART Play technology and the new SMART Brick, which can read SMART tags and minifigures, emit light and sound, and sense precise motion, enabling real‑time interactive play.

Attendees can step through portals into immersive LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Pokémon environments, such as the LEGO Pokémon Lab where they select a partner Pokémon and interact via the SMART Brick. The exhibit also debuts multiple new LEGO sets across several fandoms and offers a scavenger‑hunt for branded prizes.
