León evaluates Avenida Olímpica extension due to bridge delays

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Mobility, and Sustainable Development in León is evaluating the extension of Avenida Olímpica as an alternative route to improve traffic flow. This measure follows delays in the construction of a bridge on Bulevar Aeropuerto, caused by pending land expropriation processes.

State government officials are reviewing financing options for the bridge project, which involves an estimated investment of 434 million pesos. While the deadline to release the necessary land is October 15, authorities are currently utilizing alternative routes such as Bulevar La Luz and Vicente Valtierra to mitigate congestion in the eastern zone of the city.
