León hosts Mexico's National Youth Volleyball Festival 2026

León, Guanajuato, concluded the fourth edition of the Festival Nacional Infantil y Juvenil de Voleibol 2026 with record attendance and participation. More than 50,000 spectators gathered across four venues—Poliforum León, Parque Deportivo Enrique Fernández Martínez, the Mulza Outlet zone and the Instituto Jassá—to watch 1,465 teams compete on 85 courts.

The tournament, now regarded as the largest youth volleyball competition in Latin America, featured categories for ages 8 to 18. Champions were crowned in numerous divisions, with notable wins such as Catanes Tamuín (San Luis Potosí) in Infantil Menor A (girls) and Jaguares de Nuevo León in Juvenil Menor A (boys). In the headline final of the Infantil Mayor category, Toritos de Nuevo León defeated Panteras de Sinaloa in two sets, a victory highlighted by coach Manuel Morales Guerrero, who praised the players' dedication and family support.

Organizers view León’s repeated hosting as cementing the city’s role as a strategic hub for major sporting events in Mexico.
