León, Mexico hosts free summer concerts and festival attracting millions

A free summer concert organized by Fundación León will take place on July 26 at the Patio de San Sebastián. The event features orchestras and choirs of more than 600 children and youth, showcasing Mexican music while promoting social development through music education.

The city's Festival de Verano 2026 began on July 17 and runs through August 2 under a space‑themed program called “Diversión fuera de este mundo.” Municipal and state officials say the festival expects up to one million visitors and an economic boost of about 570 million pesos. It coincides with the National Children’s and Youth Volleyball Tournament (July 19‑25), further drawing crowds to León, known as the world’s shoe capital.
