León, Mexico: Man Fatally Shot Inside Lomas de Medina Neighborhood

On Friday night, two armed men riding a red motorcycle entered a residence in the Lomas de Medina colonia of León, Guanajuato. They opened fire on a man estimated to be about 30 years old, who was wearing a black bermuda, a khaki sweatshirt and had a cast on his foot. The victim was struck multiple times in the chest and abdomen and died at the scene.

Neighbors heard the gunshots and called emergency services. Municipal police arrived but did not locate the assailants. Red Cross paramedics confirmed the victim’s death. The scene was secured by municipal police, and forensic teams from the State Attorney General’s Office collected evidence. Police also seized several doses of illegal drugs found at the location. The body was taken to the forensic medical service for identification and further investigation.
