León, Mexico to Host Youth 7‑a‑Side Football World Cup

León, Guanajuato will host the second edition of the International Youth and Junior 7‑a‑Side Football World Cup from 6 to 9 August. The tournament will feature 50 confirmed teams from Mexico, Colombia, Haiti and the United States, with an expected attendance of about 900 players, coaches and officials. Six age categories for boys born between 2008 and 2019 will be contested, plus an open women's division, with matches taking place on the Banchetto Futbol 7 fields.

The event is organized by the Federación Mexicana de Futbol 7 (FMF7), which has conducted scouting camps across Mexican states and plans further activities in Ciudad Juárez, Morelia and Oaxaca as part of its talent‑identification program.
