León, Mexico to host Festival Internacional del Globo 2026 with 400,000 attendees

The Festival Internacional del Globo will return to León, Guanajuato from 13 to 16 November 2026. Organisers expect more than 400,000 visitors, a 14 % increase over the previous edition. The event will feature over 200 hot‑air balloons piloted by specialists from 25 countries, plus a free "Friday of the People" day for local families.

Economic projections include a 900‑million‑peso boost, the creation of about 300 direct jobs and 4,500 indirect jobs, and hotel occupancy near 90 %. Concerts will be staged each evening, with Los Ángeles Azules, Calvin Harris, Alok, Tyson O’Brien, Santos Bravos (morning show), Christian Nodal and Xavi among the line‑up. Municipal president Ale Gutiérrez and tourism secretary Lupita Robles León highlighted the festival’s role as a major tourism engine for the region.
