Lenovo confirms August 25 launch for Legion C700 handheld

Lenovo has confirmed the launch of its new handheld gaming console, the Legion C700, scheduled for August 25 in China. Unlike many Windows-based handhelds designed for local processing, the C700 is specifically optimized for cloud gaming and streaming.

The device is compatible with the Tencent START cloud gaming service. It features a 7.82-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. To ensure high performance, the device utilizes Lenovo’s proprietary streaming software, which aims to provide low latency; for example, titles like Black Myth: Wukong can reportedly reach 60 FPS with end-to-end RTT latency under 10ms.

Designed for portability, the console weighs approximately 556 grams and has a thickness of 14.9 mm. Hardware controls include a TMR sensor joystick designed to resist drift, Hall-effect linear triggers, an omnidirectional D-Pad, two back buttons, and shoulder buttons, all of which are customizable. The system also includes a dedicated management center for real-time performance monitoring and hardware adjustments.
