Lenovo Googlebook 15 expected to feature premium hardware

Leaks suggest that Lenovo is developing a premium 15-inch laptop for Google’s new Googlebook platform, which aims to position Android-based computing in a higher market segment than traditional Chromebooks.

The rumored Lenovo Googlebook 15 is expected to feature high-end specifications, including a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Under the hood, the device is anticipated to utilize an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, paired with either 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB.

These specifications represent a significant step up from the Chromebook Plus initiative, which required minimums of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This increased processing power is likely intended to support advanced Gemini AI features, such as the Magic Cursor tool. Google is expected to officially launch the Googlebook platform later this year.
