Lesznowola residents warned against tap water consumption
Residents of Janczewice, Podolszyn, and parts of Lesznowola, including Poprzeczna and Jedności streets, have been advised not to consume tap water following the detection of elevated microbiological parameters. The Lesznowola Municipal Enterprise (LPK) identified the issue during an internal quality control check and immediately notified the State District Sanitary Inspector in Piaseczno.
Authorities have disinfected and flushed the water network and taken repeat samples for testing. Affected residents have been switched to an alternative water supply from the Lesznowola PGR station.
Until further notice, the Sanitary Inspectorate recommends that residents avoid using tap water for drinking, preparing food or beverages, washing fruits and vegetables, cleaning dishes, brushing teeth, bathing, or treating open wounds. The water remains safe for sanitary purposes, such as flushing toilets. A Municipal Crisis Management Team has been established to implement a replacement water collection system.
