Levante secures Belgian forward Yanis Musuayi with five‑year contract

Spanish club Levante UD announced the signing of 19‑year‑old Belgian forward Yanis Musuayi from Club Brugge on a five‑year contract running until June 2030. The transfer fee is reported to be around three million euros. Musuayi, who progressed through the youth systems of AFC Tubize, FCV Dender, KAA Gent, KSC Lokeren and KMSK Deinze, made his professional debut for Deinze in 2024 before joining Club Brugge’s reserve side Club NXT. He appeared in 44 matches in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League, scoring seven goals, and added six goals in ten UEFA Youth League games. He has also represented Belgium at the Under‑18 and Under‑19 levels. Levante expects Musuayi to compete with Cameroon international Etta Eyong for a place in the starting lineup under Portuguese coach Luis Castro.

The signing comes after Levante’s striker Carlos Espi transferred to Real Madrid, triggering a €25 million release clause. Espi later published a farewell letter thanking Levante for his development and the support of its fans.
