Lexus launches 2026 UX 300h hybrid SUV with higher power and sub‑120 g/km emissions

Lexus has introduced the 2026 version of its compact premium SUV, the UX 300h. The model now uses a fifth‑generation hybrid system that combines a 2.0‑litre gasoline engine with a compact lithium‑ion battery, raising combined output to 199 CV (146 kW) and enabling a 0‑100 km/h sprint in 8.1 seconds. Fuel consumption improves to up to 26.3 km/L in WLTC testing, while CO₂ emissions fall below 120 g/km, qualifying the vehicle for the ECO label and exemption from registration tax in markets with such incentives.

The updated UX 300h is offered in four trim levels – Urban, F SPORT Legend, F SPORT+ and Omotenashi – with prices starting at €41,750 in Spain. Interior refinements include a new illumination package with 64 colour options and higher‑grade materials, while safety is bolstered by the latest Lexus Safety System+ suite. Buyers can choose between front‑wheel drive and all‑wheel drive configurations. The vehicle retains its compact dimensions (approximately 4.5 m long, 1.84 m wide) and five‑seat layout, targeting urban drivers who want a premium hybrid without the need for plug‑in charging.
