Lexus to end UX subcompact SUV production in February 2027

Lexus Japan has officially confirmed that production of the Lexus UX, the brand’s smallest SUV, will conclude in February 2027. The announcement was made via an end-of-production notice on the Lexus Japan website.

The discontinuation follows modest sales performance compared to competitors such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. In markets where the even smaller Lexus LBX is available, the LBX has reportedly outsold the UX.

While some configurations and specific colors are already being phased out, Lexus has not yet announced a successor or confirmed if a second-generation model is in development. The decision marks a shift in the brand’s subcompact luxury crossover lineup.
