Lexus to launch new ES sedan generation in Vietnam with hybrid and electric models

Lexus is preparing to launch the new generation of its ES sedan in Vietnam, featuring both hybrid and fully electric powertrains. The lineup is expected to include the ES 350h hybrid and the ES 500e all-electric model.

The ES 350h utilizes a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined system output of 244 horsepower. It employs an e-CVT transmission and offers options for front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD).

The ES 500e marks the first fully electric version of the ES line. It features dual electric motors with a total output of 338 horsepower and DIRECT4 all-wheel drive technology. According to registration data from the Vietnam Register, the ES 500e has a power consumption rate of 356.04 Wh/km. The vehicle is equipped with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Dealer information suggests the ES 350h Premium may be priced around 2.36 billion VND, while the ES 350h Luxury is estimated at 2.58 billion VND. The ES 500e is expected to have a projected price of approximately 2.98 billion VND.
