Lexus unveils 2027 NX with all-hybrid powertrain lineup

Lexus has unveiled the 2027 NX, marking the first time the luxury crossover will be offered exclusively with electrified powertrains. The lineup will drop all gas-only trims, leaving customers to choose between the NX 350h hybrid and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid (PHEV).

The NX 450h+ PHEV features a performance increase to 324 hp and offers an estimated 45 miles of all-electric range with standard DC fast-charging capability. The NX 350h hybrid produces approximately 244 hp. Both models utilize a revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an updated e-Axle assembly designed to improve efficiency and lower the vehicle’s center of gravity.

Design updates include sharper exterior styling with a new dual-line headlamp signature and a redesigned interior featuring a 14.0-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. The updated NX is expected to reach global markets by the end of 2026.
