Lexus unveils all-new ES 350e electric luxury sedan
Lexus Indonesia introduced the all‑new Lexus ES at the GIIAS 2026 auto show, highlighting a completely new platform, a longer wheelbase and two electrified power‑train options: a hybrid and, for the first time, a battery‑electric version called the ES 350e. General Manager Ima Nurbani Rahmah said the model continues the brand’s focus on comfort while adding “Clean Tech × Elegance” design cues such as a spindle‑shaped front, twin L‑signature lights and illuminated Lexus branding.
In the United Kingdom the ES 350e is offered only as a fully electric, front‑wheel‑drive sedan equipped with a 77 kWh battery and a 221 bhp motor. The vehicle is larger than its predecessor, with an 80 mm longer wheelbase and expanded rear‑passenger space, and includes luxury features like a cooling, massaging ottoman seat. Prices range from £59,345 to £72,545 across three trim levels. The launch positions Lexus against competing EVs from BMW, Mercedes and Volvo, emphasizing efficiency over maximum range.
