Lexus updates NX and UX models with hybrid and tech upgrades

Lexus has introduced updates to its vehicle lineup, including a facelift for the NX model and enhancements to the UX crossover.

The 2026 Lexus NX features a redesigned exterior with a frameless spindle grille and updated lighting. The lineup focuses on the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, which now offers a system output of 307 hp and an increased battery capacity of 23 kWh, enabling an electric range exceeding 100 km. Notably, this is the first Lexus plug-in hybrid capable of DC fast charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. The interior has been upgraded with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 12-inch infotainment screen, and a faster LexusConnect system.

The Lexus UX 300h utilizes a fifth-generation hybrid system combining a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a lithium-ion battery. This configuration produces 199 hp and allows for 0-100 km/h acceleration in roughly 8.1 seconds. The model is positioned as an efficient option for urban driving, maintaining CO2 emissions below 120 g/km.
