Lexus updates RX luxury SUV with enhanced handling and equipment

Lexus has released an updated version of its flagship luxury SUV, the RX, featuring significant improvements to both driving performance and standard equipment. To refine the vehicle's handling, engineers conducted extensive testing at the Nürburgring in Germany, in addition to work at the Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama. These tests led to optimized control logic for the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), electric power steering (EPS), and Rear Wheel Steering (DRS) systems, aiming to provide more linear stability and smoother body control on uneven surfaces.

In terms of practical upgrades, Lexus has expanded the standard features across multiple grades. Digital inner mirrors and front/rear dash cameras, previously reserved for higher trims, are now standard on the RX350h and RX350 models. Additionally, a new standby memory function for the brake hold system has been introduced to retain settings between drives. Other enhancements include infrared (IR) cut glass on all front doors for improved cabin temperature control and new aesthetic options, such as red brake calipers for the F SPORT series and new paint colors for the version L trim. Prices for the updated lineup range from 7.04 million to 9.29 million yen.
