Lexus updates RZ electric vehicle lineup with battery and performance upgrades

Lexus has updated its RZ electric vehicle lineup, introducing improved battery technology and performance enhancements. The refreshed models feature upgraded battery capacities, such as a 74.7kWh pack in the Philippines and a 77kWh unit (with 72kWh usable) in the Czech Republic, developed through a Toyota and Panasonic joint venture.

Technical improvements include enhanced charging capabilities. The updated architecture supports 22kW AC charging, while DC charging can reach up to 150kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Performance metrics have also seen increases; for instance, the RZ 500e variant offers a driving range of up to 460km and an output of 375hp.

Market availability and pricing vary by region. In the Philippines, the RZ 350e Core starts at P4,438,000, while the RZ 500e Luxury is priced at P5,428,000. In the Czech Republic, the RZ 350e Business starts at 1,670,000 CZK, with promotional pricing available for higher-end F Sport trims.
