LG launches first 1,000 Hz 1080p gaming monitor

LG has released the UltraGear 25G590B, the first gaming monitor capable of a 1,000 Hz refresh rate at full 1080p resolution. The 25-inch IPS panel features a 1ms response time, 400 nits of brightness, and DisplayHDR 400 support. While it offers an overclock capability of up to 1,100 Hz, the device is positioned as a niche product for professional esports players seeking the lowest possible latency.

Despite the high refresh rate, the monitor has been noted for modest specifications elsewhere, including a relatively high price point of $999/£899 and lower pixel density compared to multi-purpose displays.
