LG Uplus launches AI-driven integrated building management solution

LG Uplus has launched ‘AI Building Net by ixi’, an integrated AI-driven building management solution designed to enhance operational efficiency and user experience in senior care facilities, residences, offices, and commercial spaces.

The solution integrates artificial intelligence with various Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as sensors, CCTV, and robots, to collect and analyze data for facility optimization. As an initial application, the company introduced ‘Wellness Note’, a specialized service for senior care facilities. This service uses AI to monitor real-time health data and lifestyle patterns from care-related IoT devices, allowing managers to track resident status and automate administrative tasks via a dedicated app. The service is currently being piloted at Shinhan Life Care’s premium nursing home, ‘Solace Home Misa’.

Beyond healthcare, the platform aims to provide safety, security, and space management services. By linking access control systems with location sensors, the solution can monitor space occupancy, manage unauthorized entry, detect abnormal stays, and respond to emergencies. It also plans to automate lighting and HVAC controls based on occupancy patterns to improve energy efficiency.
