LG Uplus to triple experience-based membership benefits next year

LG Uplus hosted an exclusive autumn outing at Hwadamsup for 5,000 long-term customers and their families. The event, which targeted customers with over 10 years of service, saw high demand with approximately 46,000 applicants, resulting in a 9.2 to 1 competition rate.

During a press conference at Konjiam Resort, the company announced plans to significantly expand its “experience-based membership” program. Moving away from traditional discount-centered benefits, LG Uplus aims to provide unique cultural and leisure experiences. The company intends to triple the number of long-term customer invitation events from eight this year to 24 next year.

Analysis of over 32,000 customer opinions revealed that 46.9% of respondents desired special treatment reflecting their long-term loyalty. To address this, LG Uplus has previously organized musical theater viewings, Legoland events, and family marathons. Future plans include strengthening “vertical memberships” tailored to specific interests such as fashion and travel, as well as offering non-monetary benefits like priority booking and early entry.
