LH begins planning for Goyang and Uiwang housing districts

The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) has commenced the establishment of district plans for the Goyang Daegok Knowledge Convergence District and the Uiwang Ojeon-Wanggok Public Housing District, aiming to begin construction by 2029.

These projects are follow-up measures to the government's housing supply expansion plan announced in November 2024. To accelerate the timeline, LH pre-ordered design and survey services in May, allowing them to start planning immediately after the official district designation last month. This proactive approach is expected to shorten the overall project duration by approximately four months.

The Goyang Daegok project will develop 9,400 housing units across 1.99 million square meters in Deajang-dong, Goyang. The site is located near Daegok Station, a major transportation hub served by five railway lines, including the GTX-A.

The Uiwang Ojeon-Wanggok project will provide 14,000 units on 1.87 million square meters in Uiwang. The area features strong road access and is near the planned Uiwang City Hall Station on the Indeogwon-Dongtan line, expected to open in 2029.
