LH to accelerate Seoripul District 1 housing project in Seoul

The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) has announced plans to accelerate the development of the Seoripul District 1 public housing project in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The agency aims to begin compensation immediately following the approval of the district plan in March next year.

To expedite the process, LH is implementing a ‘ultra-short-term construction model’ that applies fast-track procedures to licensing, compensation, and construction. The goal is to begin housing construction by the second half of 2028. Certain areas within the district have been designated as ‘priority business zones’ to facilitate early housing supply.

The project is expected to provide approximately 18,000 public rental housing units, focusing on prime locations near subway stations. The supply will include ‘universal rental housing’ featuring medium-sized units specifically designed for newlyweds and families with children. LH is also exploring ways to increase the total supply volume beyond the initial target, potentially exceeding an additional 500 units by addressing noise standards and coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense.
